This is a private tour – meaning it can start on any date you select to arrive in Sri Lanka. Transport, hotels, meals, sights and entrance fee is included in this 10 days tour. You will stay at our selected hotels known for good service, location and facilities. (3 – 4 start hotels) Breakfast and dinner included at the hotels.

Tour Program – Summer:

The driver will meet you at the airport at the time of your arrival to Sri Lanka.

After a comfortable drive, you arrive in Dambulla, where you will be staying at the “Nice Place Hotel” close to the “Lions Rock for two nights. You can enjoy the facilities such as swimming pool, restaurant and sun beds to relax. In the evening, you can get a guided tour to “Dambulla Cave Temple” an impressive place which consists out of 5 caves with huge Buddha statues and wall paintings.

Today you will visit one of Sri Lankas absolute highlights, “lion Rock” – Sigiriya. The view from the top will be worth climbing 1,200 steps! On the way, a local guide will tell you the amazing story of this historical place. Next, you will go on a traditional “village tour”, where you will get a taste of the traditional cooking “rice and curry”.

Drive to Kandy. In this charming mountain city we’ll visit the well-known “tooth temple”. The country’s Buddhist consider this as one of the most sacred temples, and is well worth a visit. You can also select from other activities like: Botanical garden / Kandian dance show / shopping / sightseeing in the city.

Today the driver will take you to the train station and you will go on an unforgettable train ride; a picturesque journey amongst mountains and tea plantations. The driver will meet up with you again in Nanu Oya, and then take you to Nuwara Eliya. This city is called “Little England” because of it’s appearance, architecture and climate. Take a stroll around the beautiful lake – visit a tea plantation and see how the famous Ceylon tea is produced.

Drive to Ella – the popular mountain town. Here you can go on the easy hike to the top of “little Adams Peak”. Starting on an easy path among tea-plantations, before a steep top at the end. The view from the top is spectacular! If you want more challenge you can go to Ella Rock or Ella Gap (guide included). The viewpoint to “nine arch bridge” is also recommended.

Visit water falls outside of Ella before arriving at your next destination. Maybe a refreshing swim in the hotel pool?

Safari Jeeps will pick you up at the hotel for an evening safari in Yala National Park. You have the chance to spot leopards, elephants and an amazing variety of birds and wild life.

It is possible to get a second chance to spot elephants and leopards by going on an early sun rise safari (comes with a small extra cost).

The last leg of your round tour will take you along the beautiful south coast of Sri Lanka. It is possible to stop to watch the stilt fishermen and visit UNESCO world heritage site Galle Fort on the way to Hikkaduwa (or your selected destination)
