Get some sand between your toes!
When arriving at our hotel there is no reason to keep your shoes on for a minute longer.
🌴🏖️☀️ Just a few steps away from our pool area you can sink your feet into the soft, white sand and relax in the shade in one of our traditional beach huts with palm roofs. This part of the beach is called Thiranagama, in the southern part of Hikkaduwa. The beach stretches several kilometers in each direction.

The reason we love it here is that this area of the beach is quiet and almost deserted at times. You can watch the local fishermen bring in the catch of the day, and take a walk on the beach without being disturbed. ☀️If your beach walk brings you about 10 minutes north – you are suddenly in the more livelier surfing-area.
🏊♀️Swimming outside our hotel ?
With an average temperature of 28 degrees celcius the Indian Ocean feels pleasant all year around. However, there are waves and undercurrents, so you must be careful when swimming in Sri Lanka. The best time for swimming in the sea is in the high season between December and April.
Even in those months – the sea can be rough some days. Always check with our staff before entering the sea.
If you take a beach walk to the southern part of Hikkaduwa (Coral Beach) – or to the northern corner (close to the fishing market) you will find areas where you can swim year round.
- Please be careful when swimming. Children should NEVER swim unattended in the sea in Sri Lanka !
PS: Our swimming pool is safe year-round😉💦
